HealthSpring Offers a Healing Touch

NorthBay HealthSpring Fitness has launched a unique, treatment-based massage therapy program to promote healing and well-being for members and nonmembers alike.

Headed by Director Krystal Newton, the highly experienced, specialty trained team of therapists offers a wide array of massage types, from Swedish and deep-tissue massage, to sports massage and trigger point/myofascial therapy. They also work closely with other experts in the facility, including yoga and Pilates instructors, trainers and aquatics experts, to ensure members maximize their results.

There are unique add-ons, including lymphatic drainage, scalp or abdominal massage, therapeutic stretching, reflexology, Reiki and aromatherapy, allowing for every massage to be customized to each client.

Krystal has been a board-certified massage therapist for seven years, graduating from the Bryan College School of Massage Therapy. She also holds an associate’s degree in massage and bodywork. Rounding out her team are Nickalie Doney, Ingrid Lozano and Nicole Matthews.

HealthSpring Fitness is Solano County’s only medical fitness center and anchors one end of the VacaValley Wellness Center. At the other end of the building is the NorthBay Cancer Center, the Center for Diabetes & Endocrinology, the Center for Interventional Medicine and more.

“With patients just down the hall, I’m here to assure them that our team is skilled in helping with healing and recovery,” said Krystal.

In fact, she’s working closely with HealthSpring’s innovative new Movement is Medicine program, to align massage care along with fitness regimens specially created to meet patient needs, based on a physician request.

She has provided therapy for post-cancer treatment, pre- and post-spinal surgery and joint replacement surgery. She also specializes in addressing migraines, headaches, sciatica and nerve dysfunctions, postural imbalances/scoliosis, circulatory conditions and PTSD/anxiety disorders.

“Our mission is wellness in its most holistic form,” explained Krystal. “Our therapists are highly skilled passionate healers who truly love the art of healing through touch. We take pride in seeing results and improvements throughout the mind, body and spirit.”

Through goal-setting, referrals, education, and positive reinforcement the team is focused on seeing clients through any hurdles or triumphs that may come up in a wellness regime.

“We want to bridge the gap between fitness and healthy living to provide our clients with more than just a relaxing experience,” she said. “We strive to deliver a life-changing treatment that will increase your capacity of life.”
