2016 NorthBay Nurse Camp Applications are Online


Applications for the 2016 NorthBay Nurse Camp, scheduled for June 21-24, are now available online at NorthBay.org.

Thirty Solano County high school students will be selected to take part in this unique summer program designed to encourage their interest in nursing careers. Applicants must currently attend a high school within the county, write a paragraph on “Why I would like to attend Nurse Camp” and submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher, school counselor or employer.

Tuition is $100. Applications must be postmarked or date stamped by April 27.

The four-day camp is taught by working registered nurses from a variety of hospital departments. The annual camp spends two days on the NorthBay VacaValley Hospital campus in Vacaville and two days at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield.

Several former nurse camp students are now registered nurses practicing at hospitals around the country.
